The backstory of Andrew Bennet and Mary "Queen of Blood" Seward. How they came to be. Andrew Bennet is turned into a vampire by a derg due (Irish vampire). His lover (at time) Mary ask him to make her a vampire as well so they can live thoghter for all eternity. He does it, and she becomes mad with power, concluding her fate is to rule the world. Andrew refuse to join her and vows to hunt down her kind and never do that same mistake again of taking a human life to ease his hunger Deborah Dancer and Dmitri Mishkin appear on the cover to this issue, but not inside the story. The cover also shows the vampire who bit Andrew Bennett in his first appearance, although he does not appear in this story either Andrew Bennett mentions in this issue that he never actually marries Mary Seward. In the past he has referred to his relationship status as "separated."
